  • BECON facility visited by 4-H youth

Twenty youth and parents from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach’s 4-H program visited the Biomass Energy Conversion (BECON) Facility in Nevada on May 2 as a part of the Partnership for Engineering Educational Resources for Schools (PEERS) program. After the tour, the 4-H youth and parents engaged in a Wired for Wind workshop to learn more about wind energy.
