Friday, January 23, 2015
6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Energy Resource Station, Ankeny, IA

Geothermal has been a buzz word in the past 15 years in the world of building energy efficiency. A geothermal heat pump system (or ground source heat pump system) has been the HVAC system of choice in many cases because of its high system efficiency in heating and cooling commercial and residential buildings. It is a powerful renewable and efficient “green energy” option for business, commercial, institutional, and residential installations. This FREE two-hour presentation/webinar introduces the geothermal heat pump system concept and applications for homeowners.

Key Take Aways

  • Basic concept of geothermal and geothermal heat pump systems

  • How a geothermal heat pump system works
  • Geothermal system installation
  • Economics of a geothermal heat pump system (payback and return on investment) comparing it to traditional residential heating/cooling options
  • Case studies for new homes and retrofitted existing homes
