  • Workshop: Solar Energy

There is a lot of activity in Southeast Iowa in 2013 with Solar arrays going up on livestock buildings and commercial spaces. At the end of 2013, however, some of the state, federal and utility incentives are set to expire.
If you are still trying to decide if solar (or wind) is right for you, attend this workshop on Oct. 30 to get all the information you need. The event will be held in the Washington KC Hall from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. CDT in Washington, IA. It is hosted by the Washington Economic Development Group and ISU Extension and sponsored by Washington State Bank and Alliant Energy.

The workshop will feature:

  • Bill Haman from the ISU Iowa Energy Center
  • Area Utility Companies discuss their programs, rebates, and incentives
  • Early adopters from around the area – testimonials and advice
  • Solar venders
  • Financing and grant opportunities with USDA Rural Development and local lender

Register on-line at Eventbrite for just $30 until October 25, including a great catered lunch at the KC Hall.
