Workshop: Natural Gas-Biomass to Liquids
September Workshop hosted by DOE Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) and the National Energy Technology Laboratory
September 3, 2013
Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) is working with the Office of Fossil Energy and the National Energy Technology Laboratory to host a workshop on Natural Gas- Biomass to Liquids (GBTL) on September 3, 2013, in Chicago, Illinois. The objective of this workshop is to obtain input from industry, academia, research establishments, and other experts on the role of the Energy Department in the production of liquid transportation fuels or products from combinations of natural gas and biomass feedstocks.
The workshop, which is open to the public, will be held as a pre-conference event in conjunction with tcbiomass2013—the international conference on thermochemical biomass conversion science. Details and registration information for tcbiomass2013 can be found on the Gas Technology Institute website. For more information, including details on how to provide feedback to the GBTL Workshop planning team, visit the GBTL Workshop page on the BETO website.
If you are interested in attending the workshop, please contact Ashley.Rose@ee.doe.gov with your name, organization, and details about specific issues or topics concerning GBTL you would like to learn about at the workshop. (Please limit responses to one page by word count.)
