  • Workshop: Local Discussion on National Climate Change Policy

The Iowa Sustainable Business Alliance and the American Sustainable Business Council invite you to help change national policy on climate change by acting locally.

The discussion will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Green Building Supply 118 West Burlington Ave. in Fairfield, Iowa. This free public event will discuss the impacts of the changing climate on Iowa’s agriculture business and energy needs, strategies for dealing with these changes, and suggestions for voicing opinions to Congress. Event panelists include Francis Thicke, owner of local organic and energy conscious Radiance Dairy; Robbie Gongwer, co-owner of Ideal Energy; and Robert Yoder, owner of Yoder’s Natural Farm in Bloomfield, Iowa.

This is one of many similar events taking place concurrently across the nation and attendees will have the opportunity to sign a public letter urging rapid action and sustainable programs to address climate, which will be published by ASBC. Attendees are invited to share their experiences and opinions during the discussion.

Locally made pies topped with organic Radiance Dairy cream will be served during the event.
