Call for Reviewers: Energy Education and Workforce Development Grant Program
December 9, 2016
The Iowa Energy Center is seeking qualified proposal reviewers with expertise in education practices and Iowa education standards at the K-12, college and adult learners/continuing education levels. This fall, the Energy Center launched a new grant program to provide Iowa students and adult learners with practical and credible energy education that contributes to the environmental, social, and economic well-being of Iowans.
Under this program, the Energy Center will fund projects that create energy education content that can be distributed widely in the state. Examples include train-the-trainer workshops and online lessons and courses that target K-12 students or college students and adult learners. An Energy Center award would fund, among other things, curriculum development and online adaption, instructional design, supporting workshops and promotional materials, and independent education evaluation.
Proposals will be evaluated on the criteria below and reviewers will receive $200 compensation per proposal review. The reviewers will be asked to complete review of their assigned proposal within three weeks.
If you or anyone you know may be interested in this opportunity, please email us your interest and a brief CV (not to exceed two pages) along with a few sentences describing your area of expertise/interest with respect to reviewing education proposals.
The Iowa Energy Center has been actively serving Iowans since 1990. We support economic development, environmental sustainability and social well-being in Iowa through energy innovation, education and entrepreneurship.
