Principal Investigator: Jill Euken
Organization: Center for Industrial Research and Service, Iowa State University
Technical Area: Renewable Energy
The Biorefinery Supply Chain Research and Demonstration Project is designed to address supply chain issues that must be resolved in order to make biobased business ventures successful.
The central goal of this project is to use cooperative approaches to conduct research and demonstration projects for biobased supply chains that promote local ownership and control, sharing of risk and rewards across all segments of the supply chain, environmental stewardship, and economic sustainability for farmers, processors, distributors and consumers.
A team of experts including agricultural producers, an economist, a supply chain specialist, an attorney, and a policy specialist will participate in the research, analysis and implementation of the demonstration project.
