  • A renewed vision for U.S. wind power

In a new initiative, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Wind Program will revisit the findings of the 2008 DOE 20% Wind Energy by 2030 report and develop an updated vision for the nation’s wind power research, development, and deployment.

The current state of the wind industry will be analyzed and compared to the 2008 report’s conclusions. Moving forward, the initiative will address the barriers to incorporating large amounts of wind into the national energy mix, and provide a cohesive long-term vision for the nation’s wind energy development.
